Bilingual Programme
Our bilingual programme, focusing on English and Chinese (Mandarin), offers a comprehensive introduction to Mandarin for both native and non-native speakers during their foundational years. Emphasizing speaking, reading, writing, listening, and communication skills in both languages, our approach adapts to each student's readiness. Unlike traditional bilingual programmes, we employ the translanguaging model to integrate learning experiences across English and Chinese.
Aligned with the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP), our curriculum ensures a high-quality education that meets international standards while fostering bilingual proficiency. From Pre-K to KG2, bilingual homeroom teachers and partners collaborate to create an effective learning environment. This personalized approach supports students' personal, social, and emotional development, nurturing trust and confidence. For Grades 1 to 3, students benefit from dual homeroom teachers—a native English and a native Chinese teacher—to enhance pronunciation and fluency in both languages. This initiative underscores our commitment to providing a supportive and enriching educational experience tailored to each student's needs.
